Susanne Özpinar is a native of Switzerland and was educated in Bern.
After completing her professional training as a men's and women's tailor, she moved to Austria in 1992 to complete
a several-months apprenticeship (women's tailoring and costume painting) with the Austrian Federal Theaters.
This was followed by a position as costume assistant for the State Theater of Upper Austria, in Linz, during the 1993/1994 season.
In the meantime, Susanne has built a career as a freelance costume designer. Among others, she has worked for the following establishments: Konzerthaus Theater (Vienna), Theater Drachengasse (Vienna), Theater Phönix (Linz), Metropol Theater (Vienna), dietheater (Vienna), Stadttheater Baden, Vienna Volkstheater, Musikwerkstatt Wien (Vienna Music Workshop), Neue Oper (Vienna) and Stadttheater Chur (Switzerland).
Susanne Özpinar's costumes have also appeared in a variety of different festivals and events: e.g., the donaufestival (Krems), the St. Margarethen Opera Festival, the Reinsberg Mozart Festival, the Melk Summer Festival, the J:opera Festival in Jennersdorf and Kulturherbst Kottingbrunn. .
In addition, she has worked on costume projects for guest performances in Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Egypt.
And, in 2008, Susanne was hired by the entertainment firm BB Promotion to serve as the costume supervisor for „The Rocky Horror Show“.
In 2006, Susanne launched her first fashion line, „su herkese“ and followed this up with her second, „su imperiale“ in 2008.
